Bodywork and Chassis Geometry Repair to Factory Standards

Deformation of the body panels after an accident or impact affects more than the car’s appearance. It changes its handling, its aerodynamic drag and, above all, its passive safety cell. The Vosgen body shop leaves uncontrolled repairs behind and carries out structural repairs according to the manufacturer’s technical drawings and factory tolerances.

Precise Panel Repair and Structural Safety

The original geometry and body strength of damaged panels are restored step by step:

• Precise panel repair and chassis alignment: Damaged panels are returned to their original pre-accident shape with special forming tools, without affecting the metallurgical structure and flexibility of the steel. The car’s aerodynamic lines and body rigidity are preserved.
• Factory panel gap calibration: Wing, bonnet, boot lid and door gaps are aligned to VW Group assembly standards. Uneven gaps, catching door locks and wind noise at high speed are eliminated.
• Resistance spot welding: When panels are replaced, we use manufacturer-standard inverter spot welding instead of conventional welding, which overheats the steel, weakens it and leaves it prone to rust. Joints are sealed against corrosion with factory-type seam sealants.
