Paint correction and polishing at Vosgen has nothing in common with the traditional “abrasive compound” approach that thins the paint unnecessarily. It is a controlled surface restoration process with paint thickness measured in microns.

Step-by-Step Correction and a Mirror Finish

The steps are tailored to each type of paint, including the hard clear coats used by German manufacturers:

• Paint thickness analysis: Before we start, the clear coat thickness on each panel is measured with a paint thickness gauge. We calculate the safe margin of clear coat and avoid any over-aggressive cutting that could put the paint at risk.
• Multi-stage correction: Deep scratches, holograms and water spots are removed step by step with polishing pads and silicone-free professional compounds suited to the hardness of the paint. Scratches are not filled and hidden with chemicals; they are permanently removed.
• Finishing and clear coat refinement: The corrected surface goes through an ultra-fine finishing stage that brings out the true factory colour, its depth and a clear, distortion-free reflection.
